R3 Stage 3 4-1 Header

For those with heavily worked and modded 4G93 NA engines running big overlap cams and ported heads, finally there is a decent header in the market. R3 recently launched the R3 Competition Exhaust Manifold (Extended 4-1 Design) and I was amongst the first to place an order for this header. Just fitted the latest spec header last weekend. Full report and details to follow when I can get some free time. My apologies..

Tai kor,

I am planning to change my header to the 4-1 version. What do you think with my current setup, and my coming 4.6 FD – would it be wise to change?

It needs to be optimal for autocross, which currently isn't too far off, minus the FD.

Oh btw, hope you've ordered the metal washers for the g/b for me already. :)

Bro,

If you're running the Stage2 cams, the 4-1 header would not be optimal for your setup right as you'll lose power? Metal washers for the g/b? Order for you?

Hey bro,

Hmm..ok..I need to speak to R3 about this. Coz there is a crack on my 4-2-1 header, which could have been due to the recent R3TA at Shah Alam. Might have hit something. Cracked near the collected at the end of the header.

Remember you mentioned metal washers that you installed on your shifter to reduce wobbliness of the gear stick? You told me you got them from the states and they cost around RM100.

Oh... the Symbroski aluminium shifter base bushings? Yeah.. will be doing a review on them once my Ti bolts and washers bolts arrive. Ordered a set to replace the stock bolts for the shifter base once the new bushings go in.
